Sanjiv Goenka, born 23 August 1961 in Kolkata, is the chairman of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group (RPSG) — a $5+ billion conglomerate with businesses in power, retail (Spencer's), media (ABP), IT (Firstsource Solutions), FMCG (Too Yumm), sports (the Lucknow Super Giants IPL franchise), and venture capital. He is one of the most influential figures in the Marwari business community of Kolkata.

Father: Rama Prasad Goenka (R.P. Goenka) (1 March 1930 – 14 April 2013) — founded the RPG Group (1979) by acquiring Brentford Electric and other multinationals; sometimes called "the takeover king" of Indian industry.
