Pema Khandu, born 21 August 1979 in Gyangkhar village, Tawang district, Arunachal Pradesh, has been the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh since 17 July 2016, making him the longest-serving CM of the state in recent decades. He took office at the age of 36, becoming India's youngest serving Chief Minister at the time. He belongs to the BJP.
