What the Hashemite Heir Story Teaches Us
A son educated at Georgetown and Sandhurst. A Saudi-born wife who studied architecture at an American university. A wedding attended by the British king and the American First Lady. A daughter born in 2024 who carries forward four-plus generations of Hashemite-and-Saudi family records.
For every family — large or small, famous or otherwise — the Hussein story carries the same lesson. Crown princes have wives who bring entirely new family branches to the tree. Princess Rajwa is now a Saudi entry on the Jordanian Hashemite tree, and a Jordanian entry on the Saudi Al Saif tree. Daughters-in-law and sons-in-law belong on both sides. Write them down on both.
