What the Leclerc Family Story Teaches Us
A Formula 3 driver father who died at 60, when his son was on the verge of breaking into Formula 1. A homemaker mother. Two brothers, one a tennis professional and one a Formula 2 driver. A godfather who was himself a Formula 1 driver and died at 25 from injuries sustained in a Grand Prix crash. From one Monégasque household came one of the most-watched modern Ferrari drivers — racing as if to honour both his father and his godfather.
For every family — large or small, famous or otherwise — the Leclerc story carries the same lesson. Godparents are part of the family tree. Jules Bianchi appears on Charles's tree as fully as any blood relative. Write down godparents, mentors, and chosen family. They are real entries.
